Photo 3272: Twilight Trail

Taken towards the end of a walk with my friend this was the wonderful view that was presented to us as were descending from Beinn Enaglair on the Braemore Estate. This view is looking due west to the mountains of the Great Wilderness and the Fannichs. The most prominent of which are the multiple peaks of An Teallach at the right of this image.

During the day we had a cloud covered sky to begin with, a smattering of rain, then as we ascended we encountered freezing mist which was followed late in the afternoon by clearing skies and sunshine. Watching the sun set over the Great Wilderness was a perfect end to an excellent day. However, we still had an hour and a half of walking left at the time of this photo so our headlights were eventually needed to follow the trail back to our car.
