Waverly is the last sea going paddle steamer in the world. This photo was taken a good number of years ago on its first visit to Loch Gairloch following a long period of repair and refurbishment. While growing up in Gourock I was often on it (and other paddle steamers that existed back then) as it went on cruises on the Firth of Clyde and beyond visiting various islands in that area. Happy days! Back then of course the sun shone every day in the summer...
