Read MorePhoto 3220: Moody morning at Loch an Nid
Taken from near my campsite just before I had breakfast. A breakfast that was to be plagued by midges such that to keep them off me I had to continually walk back and forth while eating my porridge. I probably consumed a few midges too. Moody windless mornings in summer make for nice scenes but can make midgie infested mornings otherwise! At the head of the loch, to the right, is Bealach na Croise, a popular walking route for those travelling through the hills to Kinlochewe.
